Measure your actual times over a complete week. Add 3 minutes of buffer. If your burger takes an average of 12 minutes, display 15 minutes.
Differentiate cooking times by dish category when the platform allows. A dessert doesn’t take the same amount of time as a main course. A single time penalizes either fast dishes or slow dishes.
During peak hours, temporarily increase your delivery times by 5 to 10 minutes. Uber Eats and Deliveroo allow you to adjust times in real time. Use this feature.
The client prefers to receive their order in advance rather than late. A delivery time of 30 minutes with a delivery in 25 minutes generates satisfaction. The opposite generates frustration.
Monitor your “time adherence rate” in the dashboards of the platforms. The goal is to exceed 90%. Below that, your ranking is penalized.
