Deliveroo: strong presence in city centers of large agglomerations. Commission of 25-35% according to the contract. “Editions” program (dark kitchens). Slightly more premium clientele.
Just Eat: historically strong in the pizza and kebab segment. Lower commissions (15-25%). Different audience, often more family-oriented. Less volume but less competition.
Multi-platforming is the norm: 70% of restaurants are on at least 2 platforms. This maximizes coverage but complicates management.
The primary selection criterion is not the commission, but the volume. A platform with 5% higher commission but 50% more orders is ultimately more profitable.
