Your restaurant’s rating on review platforms isn’t just a vanity number. It has a direct and measurable impact on your revenue.

Each tenth of a point represents approximately 5 to 8% more or fewer orders. Switching from 4.2 to 4.4 can generate 10 to 16% additional orders.

The critical threshold is 4.0. Below that, your restaurant is perceived as “average” and customers hesitate. Above 4.5, you are in the “top tier” and attract demanding clients.

Recent reviews carry more weight than older ones in the algorithm. 5 star reviews this week have a greater impact than a historical average of 4.5 based on 200 reviews.

The total number of reviews is also a factor of trust. A restaurant with a 4.5 rating and 300 reviews is more reassuring than a restaurant with a 4.8 rating and 15 reviews. Volume creates credibility.

Invest in your score as you would invest in advertising. Every action that improves quality, reduces errors, and generates satisfaction is a marketing investment.
