Essential technologies for a modern restaurant for delivery

Flux 7 min de lecture 12 novembre 2025

Technology is not a luxury for delivery restaurants, it’s an operational necessity. But not all technologies are created equal. Here are those with the best ROI.

The KDS (Kitchen Display System) is the number one investment. A screen in the kitchen that displays orders in real time, sorts them by urgency, and alerts in case of delays. Cost: 300-600 EUR + 30-50 EUR/month. ROI: 2-3 months.

The order aggregator (Deliverect, Orderbird) centralizes all platforms on a single screen and integrates directly with your POS system. Cost: 80-200 EUR/month. Essential if you are using 3+ platforms.

The connected cash register with delivery module allows you to track your sales in-store and delivery within the same system. It’s essential to have a unified view of your revenue and margins.

Thermal printer for labels allows you to automatically print the content of each order on a label attached to the container. Cost: 150-250 EUR. Reduces errors by 80%.

Connected inventory systems (Yokitup, Lightspeed) track your stock in real time and automatically disable out-of-stock items on platforms. Cost: 50-100 EUR/month.

Avoid buying everything at once. Start with the KDS, then the aggregator if necessary, then secondary tools. Every addition should be motivated by a concrete problem to solve.
