Standard commission rates are 25 to 30% at Uber Eats and Deliveroo. However, these are not fixed and immutable rates. Several levers exist to reduce them.
The volume is your main argument. Beyond 200-300 orders per month, you have real negotiating power. Contact your account manager and request a preferential rate.
Multi-sites have an advantage: if you manage 3 or more restaurants on the same platform, you can negotiate a group rate. Platforms prefer to retain a multi-site client rather than a competitor recruits them.
Exclusivity is a lever: some platforms offer reduced rates (20-22%) in exchange for exclusivity. Evaluate whether the volume lost on other platforms is offset by the commission savings.
Partner programs (Uber Eats Plus, Deliveroo Plus) sometimes offer preferential conditions. Contact your sales representative for more information.
Increase your prices by 10-15% on platforms to partially absorb commission fees. The majority of clients accept a price difference between the platform and the restaurant.
