The franchise model for delivery is increasingly attracting entrepreneurs. But not all franchises are equal.
Advantages: recognized brand, tested recipes, marketing support, economies of scale on supplies, training provided.
Disadvantages: high entry fee (often 15,000 to 50,000 EUR), monthly fees (5 to 8% of turnover), lack of freedom over the menu and prices.
Questions to ask the franchisor: What is the average revenue of a point of sale? The net profitability rate? The franchise closure rate? The exit fees?
Financial analysis: calculate your break-even point. With franchise fees + platform commissions + operating costs, what revenue do you need to become profitable?
Our advice: meet at least 5 existing franchises (without the franchisor present) and ask them direct questions about their profitability and the difficulties they have encountered.
Create your own virtual brand. Less initial cost, more freedom, but more work building notoriety.
