Best Before Date (Minimum Durability Date, formerly DLUO): “Consume before…” Dry product, retains freshness, beverage. The product may lose flavor but remains safe. Usable after the date (unless altered in appearance).
Side DLC: Once opened, a product (e.g., milk brick, ham) has a short lifespan (e.g., 3 days). You must write the date of opening on the packaging.
Homemade Products: You must define their shelf life (e.g., 3 days for homemade mayonnaise) through aging tests or best practice guides.
