Breakfast delivery: a slot to conquer

Breakfast is the time slot with the highest growth on delivery platforms (+45% in one year). The competition there is still low because few restaurants offer this service.

The key hours are 7:30 am - 10:00 am. The window is short but intense, especially during the week (offices, telecommuting). On weekends, brunch (10:00 am - 1:00 pm) takes over.

The breakfast menu should be simple and quick to prepare: pastries, pancakes, fruit bowls, scrambled eggs, avocado toast, smoothies. Preparation times should remain under 10 minutes.

Packaging is critical for breakfast: hot beverages (coffee, tea) require insulated cups with leak-proof lids. Pastries must be protected from crushing.

The profit margin on breakfast is generally excellent. The food cost of a pancake is negligible (0.50-0.80 EUR) for a selling price of 6-8 EUR. Hot beverages also have a high profit margin.

Test the breakfast slot for 1 month with a reduced menu (5-8 items). If the volume is sufficient (10+ orders per day), expand the offering and invest in appropriate equipment.
