On platforms, your competitors are visible. Their menus, prices, photos, reviews, and promotions are public. Leverage this transparency to improve yourself.
Identify your 5 direct competitors: same cuisine, same zone, same price range. Order from each of them at least once to evaluate their quality, packaging, and presentation.
Analyze their menus: what dishes do they offer that we don’t? What are their prices compared to ours? Do they have set menus or special offers that we could adapt?
Read their customer reviews (positive AND negative). Negative reviews reveal their weaknesses – opportunities for you. If their customers complain about slowness, highlight your speed.
Observe their promotional strategy. If they offer delivery every Tuesday, you can counterattack with a promotion on the same day or differentiate yourself by offering a promotion on another day.
