Information on allergens is a legal obligation that applies to all forms of sale, including delivery via platforms.
The 14 allergens that must be declared: gluten, shellfish, eggs, fish, peanuts, soy, milk, tree nuts, celery, mustard, sesame, sulfites, Lupin, mollusks.
On the platforms: indicate the allergens in the description of each dish. Uber Eats and Deliveroo offer dedicated fields for this information.
On your packaging: add a sticker or a statement “Contains: [allergens]” to each container. This is a legal obligation and legal protection.
Handling special requests: when a client specifies “gluten-free” or “nut allergy,” treat this information as a top priority. An error can have serious consequences.
Our advice: train all your staff (kitchen and packaging) on allergens. Display the list of the 14 allergens in the kitchen and on each recipe card.
