Measuring and improving customer satisfaction in delivery

Client reviews 8 min de lecture 26 décembre 2025

Customer satisfaction in delivery is measured differently than in a restaurant. The customer doesn’t see your smile, doesn’t feel the atmosphere, doesn’t feel your welcome. Their satisfaction depends on three factors: the quality of the dish upon arrival, adherence to the order, and timing.

Reviews on platforms are your first indicator. But they are often binary (satisfied or dissatisfied). For a more detailed analysis, read the comments in detail. Categorize them by theme: quality, quantity, temperature, packaging, delivery time, error.

Implement a weekly tracking system. Each week, compile the number of orders, the average rating, the number of reviews, and the complaint themes. Plot these figures in a graph to visualize trends.

Identify your “moments of truth”: the points of contact that determine satisfaction. The discovery of the dish at the opening of the bag is the critical moment. Everything must be perfect at that instant: presentation, temperature, smell.

Implement immediate corrective actions for recurring problems. If the fries arrive cold, change the packaging. If the sauces leak, change the containers. Each problem solved translates directly into an improvement of your rating.
