Optimize your Just Eat profile in 2025: the 7 levers to improve your visibility

Delivery 7 min de lecture 11 novembre 2025

Just Eat (formerly Allo Resto) is sometimes overlooked by restaurateurs who focus on Uber Eats and Deliveroo. It’s a mistake: with over 3 million active users in France, Just Eat represents a supplementary order flow that is far from negligible. The competition there is often less intense than on the two leading platforms, which means that a relatively modest optimization effort can have a disproportionate impact.

First lever: complete your profile to 100%. Just Eat gives a completeness score to each restaurant. A complete profile (description, hours, photos, full menu with descriptions and allergens) is better ranked in the results. Check that your description highlights your specificities: homemade food, fresh ingredients, regional specialty, or any other differentiating element. The first 2-3 lines of your description are the most read.

Second lever: regular menu updates. The Just Eat algorithm favors restaurants that regularly update their menus. Change a description, add a dish of the day, modify a price: these actions signal to the platform that your listing is active. Some restaurateurs make a micro-weekly modification solely for this purpose. Third lever: promotions. Just Eat offers integrated promotional tools (X% discount on the first order, free delivery above a certain amount). These promotions cost you on the margin but improve your visibility.

Fourth lever: categories and tags. Make sure your restaurant appears in all relevant categories (pizza, Italian, vegetarian, halal, etc.). Customers often filter by category and you miss orders if your categorization is incomplete. Fifth lever: extended hours. Restaurants open as long as possible (especially during late night) have an algorithmic advantage on Just Eat because they cover less competitive time slots.

Sixth lever: the minimum order amount. Setting a minimum too high (more than 15 euros) reduces your potential number of orders. Conversely, a minimum too low (less than 8 euros) can increase your operational costs relative to revenue generated. The sweet spot for most restaurants is between 10 and 13 euros, depending on your average ticket amount. Test different levels over a week and compare.

Seventh lever: responsiveness to incoming commands. Just Eat measures your order confirmation time. A restaurant that confirms instantly (via a tablet or automated system) is favored over a restaurant that takes 5-10 minutes. A command aggregator like Fooderise that automatically accepts orders across all platforms can significantly improve this responsiveness score and therefore your positioning.
