Advantage: Table-side ordering and payment. If the QR code allows ordering and payment, you save a huge amount of time for the service and increase table turnover.
Advantage: Photos. A digital menu can show a photo of each dish, which increases the average order value (we eat with our eyes).
Drawback: The friendliness. The customer is glued to their phone instead of chatting. We lose the server’s advice.
Drawback: Exclusion. Elderly people or those without batteries are lost. Always keep some backup paper menus.
The agreement: A QR code for the drinks/dessert menu (which often changes) or for payment, and a paper card for the dining experience.
