Most restaurants are present on 2 to 3 platforms simultaneously. This means 2 to 3 tablets, 2 to 3 menus to maintain, and 2 to 3 different interfaces. The risk of error is high.
The first step is to centralize. Solutions like Deliverect or Orderbird aggregate orders from all platforms onto a single screen. The monthly cost (€50 to €150) is recouped through reductions in errors.
If the budget doesn’t allow for an aggregator, organize your space physically: a dedicated zone for tablets, a separate sound per platform, a color code for bags (red = Uber, blue = Deliveroo).
Manually synchronize your menus once a week. Every Monday, check that the prices, availability, and descriptions are identical across all platforms.
During peak times, designate a person responsible for the tablets. Their sole role is to validate orders, print them, and transmit them to the kitchen. Do not mix this role with preparation.
Analyze your performance by platform each month. A platform that generates 10% of your orders but 30% of your problems might deserve to be deactivated.
Define different schedules by platform if necessary. You can be open on Uber Eats at lunchtime and on Deliveroo in the evening if that’s where your respective customers are located.
