To have one's own mobile app: luxury or necessity?

A native app offers the best user experience (UX). Fluid, fast, and geo-located.

Push notifications. The power of sending a message that vibrates in the customer’s pocket is immense (to be used sparingly).

The cost has decreased. Thanks to white-label solutions (SaaS), you no longer need to spend €50,000. For €100-200 per month, you have a high-performing app.

The challenge: installation. It’s difficult to convince a client of downloading yet another app. You need a strong incentive (welcome offer, exclusive loyalty program).

If you have a very regular clientele (fast food, café, bakery), the app is a must. For a fine dining restaurant where you only go twice a year, a mobile website is sufficient.
