Interview: The employer must ensure the upkeep of kitchen uniforms (dry cleaning or on-site machine). It is not possible to ask the cook to wash his grease-stained jacket at home (risk of contamination).
Room: If you require a specific uniform (e.g., shirt with logo), you must provide it. If you request a “city” uniform (e.g., black jeans, white shirt), the employee can use their own clothing, but an upkeep premium is often due.
Shoes: In the kitchen, non-slip safety shoes (SRC standard) are mandatory, provided by the employer.
