The market for order management software in delivery has exploded in recent years. For a restaurateur, choosing the right solution has become a real headache: between American aggregators, European startups, and specialized solutions, the offer is overwhelming.
In this article, we review the main criteria for choosing and compare the most used solutions in France: Fooderise, Otter, RusHour, Keytchens and Deliverect.
Transparent pricing. A good software clearly displays its prices. Otter hides some of them (base prices are shown, but many hidden costs). RusHour and Keytchens publish no prices. Fooderise displays all of its rates publicly.
Criterion 2: contractual commitment. Otter imposes 24 months. The other solutions do not clearly communicate their terms of engagement. Fooderise does not require any long-term commitment.
Criterion 3: the completeness of the platform. An aggregator that simply centralizes orders is no longer sufficient. Restaurateurs need analytics, review management, order dispute handling, menu synchronization, and ideally, an integrated POS.
Criterion 4: GDPR compliance. For a European restaurateur, knowing where their data and their clients’ data are stored is essential. American solutions transfer data to the United States. European solutions like Fooderise and RusHour offer better native compliance.
Criterion 5: Support. French support, reactive and accessible is essential when a problem occurs during the evening service. All listed solutions offer French support, but the quality and reactivity vary.
Criterion 6: Innovation. AI is transforming restaurant management. Fooderise is one of the few solutions that natively integrates artificial intelligence for menu optimization, performance analysis, and recommendations.
Our verdict: for a French restaurateur looking for the most complete, transparent, and compliant solution, Fooderise stands out for its unique combination of features, clear pricing, and lack of commitment. Otter is an option for international chains that accept a 24-month commitment. RusHour is suitable for large brands that prefer concierge support. Keytchens, on the other hand, lost a large portion of its clients in 2025 and failed to evolve its platform—it’s an aging solution that’s difficult to recommend in 2026.
