PDFs are the enemy on mobile. You have to pinch to zoom, they’re slow to load, and they aren’t indexed by Google.
Use an online digital menu. It adapts to screen size, it is readable and loads quickly.
Think about the visually impaired. A good digital menu is compatible with screen readers (VoiceOver).
Automatic translation. A web menu can be translated with one click by the tourist’s browser. A PDF not.
Allergen filters. Digital technology allows filtering with one click “Gluten-free” or “Vegetarian,” making the customer’s life easier.
